2023.07.31¶
In 2023, I wonder, how many people still are there to celebrate this day. Undoubtedly, fewer and fewer.
Not something strange. Even on me, I've attached much less emphasis-- the loyalty remains, but my vision expands. I wouldn't call it neglect, just the contrary, it is a display of confidence on the basis of an unbreakable connection, indicating that there is a kind of true love independent from frequent presentation yet still shines, a kind of feeling that doesn't have to be exhibited in the light to prove its presence.
So maybe, it's not a bad thing. For books, movies or songs, we usually wish what we love to gain increasing popularity, to be universally acknowledged. But again, why do we need popularity, to define value.
Harry Potter is now 43 years old. What children like about the series is probably not his heroic personally, his spirit or his choice made at countless dilemmas, everything so distant from ordinary people, but the details of everyday life, and amusingly, I'm one of them.
So that means, our own lives, ordinary as they are, very possibly have something to be noted down, to form a wonderful story, as long as, we treat them, with more inclusiveness.
As I promised last year, the picture of The Chamber of Secrets shall be shown here.
Happy birthday.
